Many of you hang up the bike in the winter, and that’s fine if you use it to get out for some fresh air when the conditions are more favourable. But I know that some of you enjoy riding year round, whether you’re a roadie, are into competitive xc, or just like being in shape. So we just received our first dump of snow for the winter and I know that some of you like to head up into the hills with your bikes for a snow day. If you do decide to head up to the Woodlot this week, make sure you’ve got plenty of warm clothes, lots of time, and low expectations. There are between 8 and 12 inches of snow up there, and it took me an hour to get to the top of Hekyll after I headed up yesterday afternoon. Full entry »

Earlier this week, Fox Racing Shox sent us a 2006 Fox TALAS RLC fork for some demo time on the local trail network. I’ve had the fork mounted on my trail bike for a little bit and I’ve got a pretty good idea about the way it performs under different conditions (ranging from optimal to a little sketchy). A while back, I put together a quick overview of the 2007 Norco lineup and it’s a good introduction to some of the highlights (for me) of this year’s lineup.
