Did The Floyd do it? Do you care?

The 2006 Tour de France will be remembered for a couple of memorable stages: Floyd Landis’ catastrophic crack in the Alps on stage 16 and his miraculous comeback the following day. Of course, all of that hard work was obliterated the moment news leaked out that Landis failed a drug test and, before the results could be challenged, the mainstream media took the story and ran with it.

Now that we’ve got a little distance between ourselves and the race, CBC has published an in-depth look into the world of pro cycling and its culture of doping. It’s fascinating stuff, and it’s been sanitized to make it palatable to the non-roadie.
