The second 2007 UCI World Cup downhill race went down a couple weeks back in Champery, Switzerland. At the end of the day, Finland’s Matti Lehikoinen (G-Cross / Honda) stood at the top of the podium where he was joined by Britain’s Steve Peat (Santa Cruz Syndicate) and Sam Hill (Iron Horse / Monster). We just received this e-mail from the FVMBA and they’re looking for volunteers for the 2007 edition of the Bear Mountain Challenge. Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association (FVMBA) are looking for 2007 Bear Mountain Challenge volunteers to assist in a variety of areas including course marshals, registration tent, runners, water stations and flaggers. The folks who run the Bike Magazine website have posted up a brief article describing parts of SRAM’s 2008 lineup. The mighty X0 rear derailleur has undergone some minor changes, the most significant being the loss of its full carbon cage; it’s getting an alloy // carbon combo instead. Full entry »
