Bear!
Our mild summer has left a bunch of bigguns running around the woods, looking for berries and grubs. Yesterday (Wednesday), an aggressive bear was encountered at the Woodlot. If you’re heading up there for a quick rip be sure to keep your wits about you and use common sense (ie. don’t try and pet unattended cubs), pack out ALL of your garbage, and leave your animals at home. Unless you want Fido to buy you 10 seconds while you take off.
And if you ride with bearspray, make sure the safety trigger is engaged and won’t slide off. It won’t do much to deter a bear if you spray yourself in the face…
