New from Norco for 2008 is the Fluid LT. The LT is meant as a do-it-all bike for the rider who isn’t quite into full-on freeride or downhill but finds xc / trail-focused bikes a little wimpy. Full entry »

Woodlot trail day, 26 April at 9:30am

The FVMBA is holding its first trail day of the season at the Woodlot this Saturday. The plan is to clean up the parking lot and do routine maintenance on Shotgun, Hoots, Giant Killer, and Blood Donor (time permitting). Full entry »

Preview of the 2009 Shimano Saint group

The Sea Otter Classic was held this past weekend and a bunch of companies took the opportunity to introduce the cycling world to a bunch of new gear; Shimano was no exception, and released info about its revamped Saint lineup. The first generation Saint component group is known for being burly and relatively easy to maintain, with a super-solid crankset, excellent hydraulic brakes, and a bombproof rear dérailleur. BionX electric assist wheel systems

Finding a bike that fits your child

Spring is a great time to get your child onto a bike that fits them well. All too often we see kids crammed onto bikes that are too small or placed on top of bikes that are too large; this tendency rarely helps these young-uns actually enjoy what they’re doing because they are concerned about falling onto the pavement, gravel, or dirt instead of forgetting that they’re even on a bike while they’re cruising around the block.
