2008 Norco Kids’ bikes : Boys

Norco’s boys’ bike lineup rivals the girls’ lineup in its completeness and offers two-wheelers that are equally suited to the rough and tumble play of ‘the guys’ as they are to a calm ride around the block. These bikes are solidly built and can take most of the thrashings that they’ll come across in the time under your roof.

As with the girls’ lineup, there is a wide range of boys bikes available from Norco, and you can be sure that we’ll find something that your little guy likes and fits him properly.

The Run Bike

These funny looking bikes don’t have cranks, pedals, or brakes, but you can be sure your guy will love it. Designed to encourage the development of balance on a bike, many kids who use the Run Bike never have to use training wheels when they switch to a pedal bike and, if they do, you’ll find that their time on them is pretty short compared to kids coming from traditional tricycles or a 12″ / training wheel setup.

The boys’ Run Bike is just as durable as the girls’ version, except the colours are a little different; you get the same aluminum frame, a utilitarian seat with quick release, and puncture-proof PVC tires. The only time we’ve seen these things come back to the shop is when they’ve been run over by the family car (without the kids on them!).

All of the bikes in this category include a coaster brake (foot activated) but some include hand brakes to prepare your child for this mode of stopping as they grow into larger rides. They also remain single speeds (gears can be difficult to learn) and include removable training wheels so your little ones can ease into their new bikes.
