More from Sea Otter: 2009 SRAM : RockShox, Truvativ, Avid

Vancouver-based Dan Barham does a good deal of bike writing for UK-based BikeMagic, and he’s got some great coverage of the product releases from Sea Otter 2008, but here’s a quick recap for those of you too lazy to click on the links above.
SRAM, Avid, Truvativ, Rockshox
RockShox. SRAM’s cluster of companies has a bunch of new goodies on the slate for next season, the most significant being the implementation of its 20mm Maxle Light, a 20mm thru-axle that will be available on the RockShox Reba (internally adjustable, all travel: 80mm, 100mm, 120mm) and Revelation (140mm).
Truvativ. Truvativ is bringing some new handlebars online, with all-mountain bars branded with the Stylo moniker and some carbon xc stuff under its Noir lineup. There’s also the uber-wide Boobar, for all of you downhill guys out there who can’t get enough leverage on normal bars. The Stylo crankset gets an update too.
Avid. Juicy disc brakes are great, but Avid isn’t resting on its laurels. For ‘09, expect to see a new brake — dubbed ‘Elixir‘ — that will slide in between the Code and the Juicy. It’ll be stronger than the Juicy (and lighter) but not quite as hardcore (or heavy) as its bigger brother.
That’s it for today, but if you’re super-keen, you can check out info about the 2009 Fox stuff at BikeRadar.
