2008 Banshee frames in stock now!

We’ve got most models from the 2008 Banshee lineup in stock and ready to move out the door.

Whether you’re looking for a light-weight 4x rig or a full-on freeride machine, there’s a Banshee frame that suits your riding style and with a bunch of different build kits, you can dial in a ride that suits your budget. If you’re looking for that special touch, we can work out a great deal on a custom build.

Banshee Rampant (4x)

2008 Banshee Rampant

The Rampant is Banshee’s race-bred 4x bike and it looks as nice as it rides. Featuring Banshee’s VF4P linkage, the Rampant offers is a solid-pedalling chassis that carves corners and shreds down courses like those found at Pipeline Bike Park or in Whistler’s 4x track.

Frame weight is about 7lbs and is available in a bunch of colours. We have a red / white frame in the shop and it comes with a Fox RP2 air shock.

Banshee Rune

2008 Banshee Rune

We posted up a preview of the Banshee Rune a couple of months ago and moved a bunch out of the shop and onto the trails since then. It’s a wicked little frame, with lots of shock options and a few different build kits.

To read more about the Rune in action, check out Dean’s website; he’s a local trail builder who puts tonnes of time back into the trails at the Woodlot.

Banshee Wildcard

2008 Banshee Wildcard

The Wildcard is Banshee’s slopestyle frame and is built to deal with all of the abuse you back-flipping, tail whipping, table topping nuts today’s rippers throw at their bikes.

The Wildcard utilises a tried-and-true single pivot design and employs nice hydroformed tubing to achieve a low standover height, a trick-friendly headangle, and multiple travel settings (5″, 6.5″) to dial in the ride for specific types of terrain. A 1.5″ head tube will take forks from any manufacturer (headset reducers can be used, if necessary).

There’s also a built-up orange Wildcard in the shop and words can’t describe the colour properly. It’s definitely a must-see bike.

Banshee Scythe

2008 Banshee Scythe

The Banshee Scythe is a replacement for both the Chapparal and the Scream, which were the bikes that made Banshee’s name in the mountain biking world.

The Scythe utilises the same single-pivot chassis as the Wildcard, but works it into a frame that is meant more for freeride and downhill use. It has a 1.5″ headtube, a 150mm rear end, and multiple shock positions for adjusting the frame’s geometry and rear-wheel travel.

The frame in the image above is being built up as a mini-downhill bike (7″ travel, 65 degree head angle) that should be perfect for pinning it down trails like Goldmine at the Woodlot without feeling out of place at any of BC’s great bike parks.

Drop by the shop to check it out — we’ll have it completely built in the next couple of weeks and the owner has graciously agreed to keep it around for people to drool over.

That’s it for now. Feel free to drop by the shop and check these frames out! We’re really excited and impressed with what Jay, Shin, and the rest of the guys at Banshee have put together for this season.
