2009 Shimano Saint, revisited
A while back, we posted up some links to the early release photos of the 2009 Shimano Saint component group.
Now, it looks like Shimano has some working versions of the final product ready for use, as the company had media reps from a number of websites up at Whistler last week. NSMB.com has a two-part in-depth look at Shimano’s bomb proof Saint lineup and CyclingNews has a good writeup outlining some of the pros and cons of the new group.
Highlights include a dual-diameter four piston brake caliper, new Servo-wave brake levers, new cranks (lighter, stronger), a super-industrial looking rear derailleur with low-profile Shadow technology, and more.
