Every day we hear stories about people losing bikes to thieves. Usually, the bikes are taken out of backyard sheds and open garages but lots of bikes are taken from outside public places like schools, gyms, and malls. Full entry »

Over at Wired News there’s a cool writeup about a freelance writer’s attempt to break a land speed record for riding a bicycle. Taken at first glance, this doesn’t seem like that big a deal except the current record, held by Canadian Sam Whittingham, sits at 81 mph. Full entry »

Many riders don’t give their saddles a second thought, even though a comfortable and properly-fitted saddle can change a ride from a tedious form of exercise into a comfortable, fun way of getting fit. A while back, I came across a cool compilation of saddle photos that includes the flame-covered Hot Wheels seat pictured above and a trippy Jar-Jar Binks saddle, amongst many others. Full entry »

Noel Buckley, the main man behind Knolly Bikes, has left us with Potential for Serious Damage, a photo site showing all you noobs what mountain biking used to be like.
