Vancouver-based Dan Barham does a good deal of bike writing for UK-based BikeMagic, and he’s got some great coverage of the product releases from Sea Otter 2008, but here’s a quick recap for those of you too lazy to click on the links above. SRAM, Avid, Truvativ, Rockshox RockShox. Full entry »

I know I’ve been lax with the updates but it’s because I’ve been, uhhh, busy with stuff around the shop and elsewhere. A little while back, I made mention of the ‘08 Norco Shore and the ‘08 Atomik and, for those who didn’t realize, the news came from the Sea Otter Classic. Full entry »

Over the past decade, cyclists on a budget have been stuck between their old, underperforming components and the high performance gear that are part and parcel of new bikes. But things have started to change over the past couple of years, with newer technologies (10 speed, Hollowtech II, etc) filtering down from the high to low end at a faster pace than the years previous.
