New from Norco for 2008 is the Fluid LT. The LT is meant as a do-it-all bike for the rider who isn’t quite into full-on freeride or downhill but finds xc / trail-focused bikes a little wimpy. Full entry »

Spring is always a great time to get young children (and their parents) onto bikes, when there are plenty of chances for quality family excursions and short, after school rides. Whether you pack up your bikes and drive down to the local network of dikes to see wildlife, newly green plants, and blossoming flowers or if you simply choose to ride your bikes out of your driveway and around the many subdivisions that comprise Maple Ridge. The Norco Fluid is a bike that everyone should own. It’s more than enough to satisfy the ‘weekend warrior’ who likes to get out for long climbs with twisty, singletrack interludes but, under a skilled rider, it’s also versatile enough to really shred on a wide range of terrain. Full entry »

Well, after a couple of months where it looked like global warming was running amok in Maple Ridge, it looks like the weather is starting to take a turn for the better. If the number of people visiting the dikes and local parks is any indication, better weather means more chances for ‘regular’ people to get outside and enjoy the sights and sounds around town. Norco redesigned the entire Shore series of bikes for 2008, and they’re starting to trickle into the shop. Designed specifically for the rigours of BC riding, the Shore bikes are meant to take abuse at our region’s bike parks or on the trails at the Woodlot, at Vedder, or on the Shore (duh!). Full entry »

The 2008 Norco Ryde is the lowest-priced model in Norco’s ‘08 Dirt and Street lineup. But even though the bike retails for a paltry $1049, the Ryde is loaded with features found on higher priced models. Full entry »

The 2008 Norco 125 packs a whole bunch of bike into an affordable $1260 (MSRP). Featuring the same frame as the higher priced 4 Hun, the 125 sports a bunch of other quality parts that’ll make for a cool little DJ bike. Full entry »
