2007 UCI World Cup # 2 - Champery, Switzerland

The second 2007 UCI World Cup downhill race went down a couple weeks back in Champery, Switzerland. At the end of the day, Finland’s Matti Lehikoinen (G-Cross / Honda) stood at the top of the podium where he was joined by Britain’s Steve Peat (Santa Cruz Syndicate) and Sam Hill (Iron Horse / Monster). Volunteers needed for the 2007 Bear Mountain Challenge

We just received this e-mail from the FVMBA and they’re looking for volunteers for the 2007 edition of the Bear Mountain Challenge. Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association (FVMBA) are looking for 2007 Bear Mountain Challenge volunteers to assist in a variety of areas including course marshals, registration tent, runners, water stations and flaggers. The brief break that follows the Sea Otter Classic ended last weekend when the first UCI World Cup DH and 4x races were held in Vigo, Spain. Tough, variable conditions during the men’s DH produced a surprise winner and kept the top pros on the edge, but it sounds like the race was relatively well-rounded. Full entry »
